As Manchester United prepare to face their fifth out of six group games, with a fixture against the Swiss side, Basel, we have some early team news.

Jose Mourinho, at his pre-match press conference, advised those in attendance that Phil Jones will not be available for selection.

Jones, whilst on international duty, aggravated a thigh injury and will also miss the Premier League game, this weekend, away to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Also, not available for selection is another centre-back, Eric Bailly, who has picked up a knock.

Michael Carrick, is also not available with the midfielder side-lined with a thigh problem.

With regards to our opponents Basel, the Swiss side will be without their midfielder, Taulant Xhaka, who is suspended.

Manchester United could qualify for the knockout stages of the competition with a win or draw tonight, and if the result in the other games is favourable, a loss could also see Manchester United go through.
