Barcelona Ready To Make A Swoop On Old Trafford

|

With Ole Gunnar Solksjaer intent on making the necessary wholesale changes needed at the club to ensure a turnaround in our fortunes, it is an ideal opportunity for some of the batch of promising youngsters we have at the club to make that crucial breakthrough.

Whilst we’re not expecting a second coming of the class of 92 scenario, we are keen to see one or two of the current youth crop, to burst onto the scene.

One such player is the attacking midfielder, Angel Gomes.

Gomes, just 18-years-of-age, is tipped to have an enormous future in the game, however, his prowess is starting to attract interest from one of the big names of the European game.

According to the red-top publication, the Daily Star, Barcelona are tracking his progress with serious intent, something that is also being reported by Sky Sports.

Gomes is in the final year of his contract and Manchester United need to sit the youngster down and tie him to the club for at least the next three or four years, otherwise he could be another that slips away and we go on to look and ponder what might have been if we’d kept him.
