With our title hopes now in the hands of Manchester City, Sir Alex Ferguson has made a rallying call on the eve of what appears to be a difficult trip for our noisy-neighbours.

City travel to Tyneside to take on Newcastle this weekend and Sir Alex is hoping that Alan Pardew`s high-flying side can derail City`s title challenge thereby putting United back ahead in the race.

Speaking about the clash, Sir Alex has remarked,

“They`ve got to win at Newcastle, that`s the challenge for them.”

“Newcastle, as we know, is a very difficult place to go to and they`re playing well.”

“Winning at Chelsea is a difficult job. We haven`t done it for a number of years so their form is good.”

“Newcastle are fighting for that position in the top four and have a chance. They are a point behind Arsenal and have the same number of points as Tottenham.”

“So it will not be an easy game. It`s a tough game, no question about that.”

Will City slip up and hand the initiative back to us, your views would be most welcome.
