Manchester United?s bid to lure German Kaiser Michael Ballack to Old Trafford looks to have come unstuck as Inter table a whopping 150k a week for the midfielder.

Ballack had already stated his intentions to join Real Madrid ahead of United in the summer, but it now looks even more unlikely that he will join the English side.

Ballack’s agent has stated that he will definitely not be leaving Munich until the summer whatever the circumstances. ?There is absolutely no chance of Michael leaving in January. It would cost him the chance of winning the Champions League?

However, the good news for Man Utd fans and the manager is that it is understood the deal to bring Aldo Duscher to United is gathering momentum. The hard man Argentine is reported to be on his way in a 10m deal or a 6m plus a player deal. The players most likely to be offered would be one from John O?Shea, Louis Saha, Kieran Richardson or Quinton Fortune. Duscher would be an immediate successor to Roy Keane who left the club on Friday by mutual consent.

Manchester United?s other transfer targets include Toulouse defender Aubey and Sochaux striker Jeremy Menez.
