Although Jose Mourinho made a point of contacting his former club, Real Madrid, to advise them they would not be pursuing the purchase of Gareth Bale, it hasn`t stopped the flow of speculation.

This morning (Sunday), Manchester United and the name of Gareth Bale are, once again, appearing in the same sentence.

According to the news source, the Mirror, Real Madrid and Gareth Bale could be set to part-company in the summer.

Our aforementioned source has revealed that Real Madrid are prepared to let the Welshan go for a fee of £85 million and that three Premier League clubs are interested in buying the player, the three being Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and, of course, Manchester United.

However, it appears that Real Madrid are only preparing to sell Bale as they are becoming increasingly frustrated with his on-going injury problems. The player is currently sat on the side-lines with a niggling calf injury that is expected to keep him on the side-lines until at least early 2018.

Although Bale is hugely talented, would the risk be worth taking of spending big for someone who is quite often injured?

Your views on the subject matter would be greatly appreciated.
