It has been well documented that Manchester United`s apparent interest in acquiring the services of Raheem Sterling was met by an over my dead body attitude from Liverpool.

But it seems that other clubs still fancy their chances of acquiring the speedy striker from a club Gary Neville recently implied could, if they don`t buck their ideas up in the transfer market, become nothing more than a provincial club.

However, in an effort to ward off the advances of the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal, Liverpool have put a price tag of some £60 million on their asset.

I`m kind of grateful that Liverpool aren`t prepared to do business with us if that`s the price-tag, how about you?
