Are Doubts Emerging About Solksjaer’s Impending Appointment As The Manchester United Boss?

|

A second consecutive defeat has left Ole Gunnar Solksjaer pondering as to where it has all started to go wrong for his side.

Whilst there is no shame in going to the Emirates and being beaten by Arsenal, even more so when you consider that Manchester United created a number of chances and could, on another night have won, the Manchester United support did expect their side to go to Molineux and beat a competent Wolverhampton Wanderers side and take a huge step toward a second consecutive FA Cup Final.

Ahead of last night, here at Vital Manchester United, we’d have suggested that the Norwegian was odds-on to become the next permanent incumbent of the Old Trafford hot-seat, but could there now be doubts creeping in?

Following Manchester United’s FA Cup defeat, it was only natural that an inquisitive reporter would ask whether the defeat would affect his chances of getting the managerial role on a permanent basis.

In reply, and as reported by the BBC, Solksjaer was giving nothing away, remarking:

“I’m here until the summer, we’ve got loads to play for in the league and the Champions League.”

Has that confidence that Solksjaer was the man for the job started to diminish?
