Another Fresh Name Is In The Hat As Manchester United Look To Strengthen The Heart Of Their Defence

|

Another day, another dawn and yet another centre-back is being linked with a move to Manchester United as the club seeks to improve the squad for, hopefully, a title assault next season.

This time, according to the red-top publication, the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are being linked with a possible move for Alessio Romagnoli.

Romagnoli, at just 24-years-of-age, is already the captain of the Serie A side, AC Milan.

His commanding presence, at the heart of the AC Milan defence, has seen him emerge as a possible transfer target, this summer, for several clubs.

According to our referenced source, our Premier League rivals, Chelsea are also interested in acquiring the services of the player.

However, perhaps the greatest danger when it comes to securing Romagnoli’s services, is the fact that the Serie A title holders, Juventus, are also looking towards the player as being the ideal person to bolster their defensive ranks.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we’re of the opinion that Romagnoli would be just the player to strengthen our defence and at just 24-years-of-age he’d provide the club with years of service.

But, tempting him to leave his native Italy could be a huge challenge.

As is the norm, here at Vital Manchester United, we’ll keep an eye out for any further developments and report back as deemed necessary.
