The apparent truce called with the BBC that has seen Sir Alex Ferguson end a long vendetta against the company may have been welcomed with a breath of fresh air but last night Sir Alex got a bit uppity with ITV.

Being interviewed by Kelly Cates, the daughter of a certain Kenny Dalglish, felt the wrath of Sir Alex when she dabbled a little too far with regards to Sir Alex`s decision to play Anders Lindegaard instead of David de Gea.

Sir Alex, obviously rattled by question, spat back,

“I don`t know why you ask these stupid questions, you`re just looking for stupid little things.”

“David will play on Sunday. That was the understanding we had before the game and it doesn`t change. Anyway it proves we have two terrific keepers.”

I wonder if Kenny will do the honourable thing and ring Sir Alex to defend his daughter?
