Having Wesley Sneijder in our squad would have provided us with the services of a world-class operator.

But, with his arrival looking less likely by the day, Sir Alex Ferguson is looking towards one of his current squad to step into the breach and fill the void left by the retirement of Paul Scholes whilst also providing the skill-set Sneijder may have brought, with that man being Anderson

Speaking about jus tthat, Sir Alex is quoted as having remarked,

“The boy Anderson is a fantastic talent and we expect him to be a key player this season.”

“He has a good football knowledge. He understands the game well and is always talking to me about tactics and the technical side of the game.”

He has made a tremendous improvement and he is going to get a lot better. He scored five goals for us last season and if he gets eight or nine this season it will be a huge asset.”

Nothing like putting a bit of pressure on the lad is there!
