Time has got this unfortunate habit of flying. Is it really ten years since the Treble? I can barely believe that. It looks like yesterday that I ended up flat on the floor, shaking uncontrollably after THAT goal… yet a decade went by.

And what a decade, too! But even though it was full of historic success, nothing, just nothing can surpass the sheer thrill of that moment. Thirty-one years of waiting were over, momentous disappointments (Borussia Dortmund, anyone?) were forgotten and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became an immortal.

However, the thing about United is that this anniversary is barely remembered today as we prepare for a second sucessive Champions League final. Ten years ago we played in Barcelona – tomorrow we’ll play against Barcelona. Right now the past is secondary because the present is still immensely wonderful.

But as long as there is a Manchester United fan on Earth, the night at the Nou Camp won’t be forgotten.
