Since the 2014 World Cup, in Brazil, when Louis van Gaal decided to vacate the position of national coach to take over at Manchester United, the Dutch side haven`t been that fortunate when it comes to results.

Upon departing the position, Van Gaal left Holland in a pretty healthy state but Guus Hiddink, who took over from Louis, has found results haven`t come his way.

To that effect the Dutchman, who had a spell in charge of Chelsea and winning the FA Cup when the West London side hit the panic button mid-way through a season, has decided to step down.

With the Dutch somewhat left in the lurch, one Danny Blind has taken over the coaching reigns, with Danny being the father of our very own Daley Blind.

We`re assuming that Daley, once the next period of internationals come around, will feature in the Dutch side which leads me on to ask the all-important question – has there been an instance before when in an international set-up a father has selected his son?
