The back pages of the tabloid press are full of articles relating to something that the game is trying to get rid-off.

Numerous articles report that Patrice Evra has accused the Liverpool forward, Luis Suarez, of racially abusing him.

If so, then the authorities need t throw the book at Suarez, if not then Evra could fall under the microscope.

The accusation has been noted by the FA with a spokesperson remarking,

“The FA have been made aware of an incident that is alleged to have occurred during the Liverpool versus Manchester United fixture at Anfield.”

“Referee Andre Marriner was made aware of an allegation at the end of the fixture and has subsequently reported this to the FA.”

“The FA will now begin making enquiries into the matter.”

Evra, discussing the matter with a French TV station, has commented,

“There are cameras. You can see him (Suarez) say a certain word to me at least ten times.”

“There is no place for that in 2011. He was trying to wind me up.”

But, as you`d expect, the alleged accuser, Suarez, has denied it, with a spokesperson from Liverpool further adding,

“The first anyone knew about these allegations was when Kenny Dalglish was called into the referee`s room about 20 minutes after the game.”

“We have since checked with Luis Suarez and he categorically denies using any language that could be interpreted in that way.”

It should be interesting what the outcome of this investigation proves to be, definitely one to keep an eye on, but, yet again, something that has soiled a clash between two of England`s finest clubs!
