An Old Piece Of Transfer Speculation Is Set To Re-Emerge With A Vengeance

|

After spending in excess of £30 million, securing the services of Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea, here at Vital Manchester United, we, understandably believed Real Madrid’s chase to land a top-notch keeper had been satisfied.

Naturally, we believed that Courtois signing meant that the possibility of David de Gea leaving Manchester United had receded.

However, it appears that may not now, according to the Mirror, be the case.

During the week, Real Madrid decided to axe their head coach and reappoint Zinedine Zidane.

The Frenchman’s first big decision was to drop the out-of-form Courtois thereby putting the Belgian’s position at the club in doubt.

As a result, our referenced source is inferring that as part of his desire to revamp the Real Madrid squad, Zidane could well renew their interest in de Gea who is currently at odds with Manchester United when it comes to a new contract.

Could a deal be done?

Here at Vital Manchester United, we’ll monitor the situation and report back as deemed necessary.
