An Interesting Proposition When It Comes To The Green Jersey At Old Trafford

|

Yesterday, whilst waiting for the international action to commence, something caught my eye in a tabloid publication.

The good folk of the Sun, have decided that the time is ripe to bring into play more speculation regarding the future of our 28-year-old Spanish goalkeeper, David de Gea.

However, the tabloid does, to be fair, put a different slant on the speculation.

Seemingly, if De Gea refuses to commit to a new contract then Manchester United will be looking to acquire the services of Jordan Pickford.

Pickford, on the books of Everton, has seen his career take great strides after his displays in the World Cup for England with the 24-year-old being rated in the £60 million bracket.

But, here at Vital Manchester United, we’d like your opinion on this piece of speculation and have pulled together a poll for you to participate in.

It simply asks whether you would be happy if a deal were to be done to bring Pickford to the club if De Gea doesn’t sign a new deal:

Please take this opportunity to vote.

For the record, although I’d be sad to see De Gea go, there comes a time when you have to look to the future and signing Pickford would solve any potential goalkeeper crisis for years to come.
