If Jasper Cillesen is the preferred replacement for the supposedly Real Madrid bound David De Gea then Manchester United could have a huge task getting him off of Ajax.

According to reports Ajax are in rush to release him knowing that Cillesen`s contract doesn`t end until 2018.

Speaking about the situation the Dutch keeper has remarked to the media,

“The Ajax management are going to make it really difficult when the interest becomes concrete.

“If I had planned to leave, I would not have signed a new contract till 2018.

“My old contract was expiring in the summer of 2016 and in that case this summer would have been the perfect moment to leave.

“Frank de Boer has been very clear when he received questions about my transfer. He wants to block it.”

Worrying words indeed but the word is that if Manchester United do make an offer, of something around £20 million, Ajax might well be prepared to sell.

If not, Louis Van Gaal will have to focus on another target.
