According to goal.com, one of the least credible sources of the planet, United are ready to enter talks to sign Atletico Madrid’s Argentine striker Sergio Aguero. Apparently, he would cost about Ł50million and the site reckons Aguero himself wouldn’t be against a move to the Champions.

Now, I think it is a great idea: he’s a quick, tricky, skilled player who would be an excellent addition to our front line. However, he allegedly prefers Serie A to the Premier League though so far only his father-in-law, Diego Maradona’s advice hinted towards such a preferance: Maradona told Aguero he should go to Inter Milan.

Well, I’m not holding my breath: Atletico do not want to sell and despite goal.com’s information I think it’s highly unlikely that United would pay the quoted price even if the Spanish club could be talked into an agreement.
