The big news jumping out at you from the back page this morning relates to a Manchester United move for Gareth Bale.

The insinuation given is that Manchester United are looking to offload two big-names to free up some funds to bring the Welshman to Old Trafford from Real Madrid.

The two big-names supposedly going in the shop window are Angel Di Maria and Robin Van Persie. It is insinuated that the sale of these two will free up funds that equate to a saving of £500,000 a week in salaries.

Bale has had a torrid time in recent weeks in Spain and seems to have been picked as the scapegoat for Madrid crashing out of the Champions League semi-final, in midweek, at the hands of the Italian outfit Juventus.

Jonathan Barnett. Bale`s agent, continues to suggest Bale`s future is in Spain but the inference is given by the media that a bid of something in the region of £80 million could do the trick and end Bale`s two-year stint in La Liga.

What is you opinion?

If the press is correct would you support the proposed deal?
