A lot appears to be riding on Manchester United winning the Europa League Final, against Ajax, in Stockholm.

Already, Vital Manchester United has covered the fact that a failure to win the trophy will:

1 – Result in Manchester United missing out on participation in the Champions League for a second consecutive season.

2 – Result in the shirt sponsorship deal secured with Adidas dropping by, in excess of, £20 million a season.

However, it seems that as well as playing in the Champions League next season, the players have another incentive to bring the trophy back to Manchester, on the plane from Stockholm.

The esteemed folk at the very well respected Times, are inferring that a victory, against Ajax, will result in a bonus payment, to the squad, of a cool £38 million.

A nice little earner as they say!
