One item we didn`t feature yesterday but one we`d like a response on today, relates to a certain Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, as we`re all perfectly aware, was sold to Real Madrid for a colossal fee awhile ago and has continued to show-case his attributes in La Liga.

The fee we sold him, rumoured to be £80 million, was too good to turn down and United, considering the players desire to test his skills elsewhere, was sold.

But, amongst the many rumours relating to United that reach our doorstep, was one that inferred that Ronaldo hasn`t ruled out returning to Old Trafford one day.

Now whilst being, to a certain extent, delighted at the thought of his return (one-day), I have to say I`m a little perplexed as to how it might come about.

If Ronaldo were to return, in the next three of four years, his fee would be on the high side and could probably only be afforded if the debt has been serviced and a stock market flotation has generated huge revenue. In other words, so many ifs and buts!

In the other hand, if Ronaldo were to return at the tail end of his career, you have to ask yourself would the move be purely for sentimental reasons. If so, would his abilities still be good enough for him to hold down a regular place in the first eleven. I`d suggest if not then a return wouldn`t be on the cards.

But it is definitely something to mull over though, is it not?
