Last night, at Old Trafford, whilst Zlatan Ibrahimovic was writing the headlines with his hat-trick, his first for Manchester United, there was another little side-show that caught our attention.

The fixture against Saint Etienne saw Paul Pogba go head-to-head with his brother Florentin, a regular in the French side.

Talking about the experience after the game, Paul had this to say,

‘It was something magic playing against my brother.

‘I just couldn’t believe it when I saw him. We just started laughing and said let’s enjoy the moment because it doesn’t happen every day. I enjoyed it a lot.”

And as for his influence on the game, Paul further added,

‘I wanted to score but I hit the crossbar.

‘I don’t know what is going on here but something is going wrong for me. So far I have been hitting the crossbar a lot.

‘In seven or eight months at United I think I have hit it more times than I did in four years at Juventus.’

However, the brotherly love-in at Old Trafford didn`t get the thumbs up from the former Manchester United midfielder, Roy Keane, who now works as a TV pundit, with the Irishman remarking,

‘The boy, Pogba, he’s a bit of a free spirit, a bit of a character.

‘But I think it was a little bit over the top tonight – before the game and at half-time. They spoke more than I have to any of my brothers in the last five years, so it’s all a bit strange.’

Does Roy have a valid point?
