Was there a hint of justice dished out last night?

They say these things balance themselves out over the course of the season so when Wigan did get a dodgy goal and United had a decent penalty appeal turned down, are we right to complain?

The reason I suggest this is that we all know our penalty against Queens Park Rangers was more than a little iffy, we all know that Danny Murphy was tripped as he strode into the box at Old Trafford last week and, deep down, we know that Wigan got a rough deal when they had a man, unjustly, sent off at Old Trafford in the reciprocating fixture.

So when Sir Alex Ferguson remarks, after the match,

“It was never a corner and there was a clear handball but sometimes you get a break and sometimes you don`t.”

“Referee Phil Dowd had a bad game and never got to grips with it but Wigan were the better team and deserved it.”

Do I sense he`s ding it a little tongue in cheek?
