Speculation yesterday saw United, along with one of our London rivals, linked with a move for Eden Hazard.

However, whilst there might be speculation, any potential move for the Lille sensation could be dampened by the price.

We understand that Lille want a staggering £35 million for the player.

Reports also suggest that the over-inflated price is down to the necessity for Lille to generate income to financially support their move to a new stadium next season.

These reports go on to infer that the huge fee could be compensation if a Hazard-less Lille side fail to reach the Champions League next season.

At £35 million I`d suggest that Sir Alex Ferguson might turn away from pursuing the player, as for our London rivals, I`m not so sure as they tend to enjoy paying over the odds for players do they not!
