Seemingly, the 25-year-old Real Madrid centre-back, Raphael Varane, has replaced Koulibaly.

Here at Vital Manchester United, it’s a case of either of the duo would suffice, both are classy operatives at the top of their profession and both are of the age whereby they can give the club several years of good service.

But, putting you, the Vital Manchester United readership, on the spot, which of the duo would you prefer – Varane or Koulibaly?

Simply drop the name of your preferred option into the comment facility beneath this article.
